On a beautiful morning in 1906 in Oklahoma Territory a group of intrepid pioneers are setting out to forge a new community, and young women and men are setting out to chart their futures. When Oklahoma! opened on Broadway 75 years ago it promptly revolutionized the American musical. Its stunning music, heartfelt storytelling, and richly poetic lyrics awakened audiences to a revelatory vision of America. This production celebrates Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!, a musical written for America today.

OLD NEWS:

La Jolla Playhouse Presents

HUNDRED DAYS

A New Musical by The Bengsons
Directed by Anne Kauffman
This AMAZING new musical by the Bengsons  was presented at the Public Theater's Under the Radar Festival in January 2017 and at New York Theatre Workshop November 2017.  Now this gorgeous new musical will be present by La Jolla Playhouse!
"Hundred Days is the uncensored, exhilarating, and heartrending true story of how Abigail & Shaun Bengson met and fell in love, and how that love unleashed their terror of mortality.  With magnetic chemistry and anthemic folk-punk music, the Bengsons explore the fundamental question of how to make the most of the time that we have."
The music for this show is just BRILLIANT!  And lucky for you, you can download the album on iTunes today!  Just Click here!
